AISD convened a strategic research consensus engagement at Koforidua Technical University that brought together academic leaders, researchers, and industry stakeholders to align sustainability research priorities with national development needs. In its role as technical facilitator and knowledge convener, AISD guided structured dialogue that connected academic research capabilities with real-world implementation challenges across infrastructure, energy, and environmental systems. The engagement created a shared platform for identifying research gaps, defining priority themes, and strengthening collaboration pathways between universities and industry practitioners. By bridging policy, research, and implementation, the exercise produced a coordinated research direction that supports evidence-based decision-making, enhances student and faculty engagement in applied sustainability work, and positions AISD as a central knowledge hub for research dissemination and practical innovation in Ghana’s sustainable development landscape.
